Teachers - High School

Key Roles
I am originally from Edmonton, where I completed a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a B.Ed. in Physical Sciences and Mathematics. After completing my B.Ed. I spent five years teaching Chemistry at NAIT with the Chemical Technology Program.
Four years ago my husband, Paul Tiege, and I moved to central Alberta where Paul took a position with Olds College Centre for Innovation, directing agricultural research. Since coming to Central Alberta, we have had two daughters: Thea (4 years) can count to rhodium (45) in the elements, and Aldelpha (>1 year) is working on her fourth (aluminium) tooth. I have also held teaching contracts with Red Deer Public School District and Red Deer College. As well, I have done some research with Olds College on their biodiesel projects.
My hobbies include making glass and paper mosaics, cloth doll making, soccer, and running. I am also a Central Alberta Regional Science Fair board member.
I am extremely excited to be joining the Spruce View School teaching team! This year I am teaching Math 10C, Chem 20, Special Projects 10-20-30, Fashion Studies, Math 20-1, Math 30-1, and Phys 20.
