I am originally from Edmonton, where I completed a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a B.Ed. in Physical Sciences and Mathematics. After completing my B.Ed. I spent five years teaching Chemistry at NAIT with the Chemical Technology Program.
Six years ago my husband, Paul Tiege, and I moved to central Alberta where Paul took a position with Olds College Centre for Innovation, directing agricultural research. Since coming to Central Alberta, we have had two daughters: Thea (carbon years) can count to tin (50) in the elements, and Aldelpha (lithium years) is working on counting to neon. I have also held teaching contracts with Red Deer Public School District and Red Deer College. As well, I have done some research with Olds College on their biodiesel projects.
My hobbies include making glass and paper mosaics, crocheting, soccer, and running. I am also a Central Alberta Regional Science Fair board member.
This year I am teaching Math 10C, Chem 20, Chem 30, Math 20-1, and Math 30-1. I am also the career guidance counselor and cross-country running coach.
